ABE (Adult Basic Education)

The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program includes content standards that describe what students should know and be able to do in Mathematics, Language Arts (language, speaking and listening, and writing), and Reading.  It also provides basic skills instruction (0.0 – 8.9) and critical thinking skills to prepare students for GED preparation (9.0 – 12.9), postsecondary education, and employment.

Students are placed in specific ABE levels according to their TABE test scores.

Level E 2.0 – 3.9
Level M 4.0 – 5.9
Level D 6.0 – 8.9
Level A 9.0 – 12.0
